Curtainmake

Tracks

Curtain tracks secure curtains and are normally hidden behind the curtain heading, a valance or pelmet or they are disguised by swags. Tracks range from plain plastic to sophisticated metal. Aluminium track can be carefully bent to fit awkwardly shaped bow and bay windows so that curtains follow the exact contour of the window.

For window treatments starting at ceiling height and for those using a heavy fabric, it's a good idea to use stronger ceiling-mounted track. Before hanging curtains, ensure that the track is correctly and safely attached to the wall or ceiling and that it is able to take the weight of the curtains.

Tracks can be corded so the fabric of the curtain is handled as little as possible.
